Which classic/older game(s) would you like to see remade?

Using the newest technology in PC and console machines, which games from the past would you like to see either made or remade today?

I myself would like to see:

FF7 on Xbox or PS2
Chrono Trigger on Game Boy Advance
Phantasy Star 2 and 3
Streets Of Rage
King of the Monsters
Mercs
Final Fight
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: the Arcade Game
Vectorman
Earthwrom Jim
Michael Jackson's Moonwalker
Primal Rage
Rocket Ranger (Old NES game)
Roadblasters
Double Dragon
Skate Or Die
RC Pro AM

None, I'm a purist. I like a good game of Pong or Space Invaders in their original form.

I would like to see Zelda 64 expanded with better graphics, though. But that ain't old school.

Wasn't Nintendo supposed to release Zelda 64 as a 2 disc director's cut editon on the GameCube, and give it away for free to anyone who preordered Zelda:tWW? What happened?

This is a sig of some nature.

they did.
the only "improvements" were the added master quest (play thru the game on a really hard mode) and the higher resolution and framerate offered by the lamecube

I would like to see Super Metriod (SNES) remade on any current console. Isn't the GC's Super Metroid a remake of part 1? Anyhow, I'd love to see Super Metroid with better sound and graphics.

Super Metroid happened after Metroid II on the story timeline. And the Metroid release on the GameCube was Metroid Prime... that came after the original Metroid on the timeline. Afaik, Nintendo's working on a new Metroid title for the Cube right now. I've seen screenshots of it. Looks sweet. *drools* Anyways, I wouldn't want to see any of the older Metroid games remade... that'd just take away from the game itself. I mean, what would a screw attack look like in 3-D on the Cube? Can you say epileptic seizure?

For those who enjoy pinball, I would like to suggest Visual Pinball.
It is a pinball construction set that you can use to design your own very realistic pinball table. The physics are all that!

There are literally hundreds of pre-made tables ready to download (along with screenshots) along with the program at
http://irpinball.ztnet.com/
along with a couple of links to websites that feature some very interesting original designs, and it's all (ALL) FREEWARE! No spyware, no nags, completely and totally free for the taking!

There's a wide variety of tables available, mostly recreations of the Bally, Gottlieb, etc. tables that your parents used to play.
If you enjoy pinball, then you're gonna enjoy VPinball.

Whoa! You see it too?!

Sig removed.

Signature Size
- To keep the page loading time and visual annoyance factor down to a minimum, ensure your graphical signatures do not exceed a maximum of 12,500 pixels or 15 kilobytes file size, whichever is reached first. Alternatively, three lines of text can be used as a signature. Do not pad out your text lines with blanks lines. A line of text is defined such that it does not wrap when viewed at a resolution of 640x480.

i played x-com, terror from the deep, apocalypse...

laser squad and rebelstar raiders (their predecessors) are still the ones that stick with me, though... although apocalypse was brilliant, just in the things you could do...

Raptor (by Apogee). I know there are plenty of scroller/shooter games like it, but this is really nice. All I would like to see is 24-bit graphics and better sound effects.

m²k - there have been a lot of games like that released recently, but not in this country. you should have a look around for them. as a bonux, they have fantastic translated names (i think one of them is called "sexy death" or something like that)...

HarsH: They're making a new sam & max for PS2 (which, i think, may be a remake)

like fickle said: they've already done it to many games before (Excitebike for one). i wish they would just improve graphics and framerate (maybe add new levels), put it on a new system, and sell it for a fair price

With the power vested in me by my self I here by decree that "Zelda - Ocarina of Time" for the Nintendo 64 an "Old School Title" and worthy of being remade on a curent console

Acutally they kinda did remake it for gamecube. Limitedly if you bought ZeldaCelShitty for GC early you got a special disc containing the old zelda with better graphics.

it was just higher rez with a hard mode thing called master quest. and "celda" is a good game. cel shading and all. don't buy into all that pre-release negative hype there was, most people liked it.

speaking of remakes, work on Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes seems to be lowering expectations already...

http://gamesradar.msn.co.uk/news/def...823&pagetype=2

I did enjoy playing MGS very much, though im not sure that better graphics, mechanics etc etc will tempt me to pay 30 quid to replay it. If they sold it at about 10-15, I would consider it. maybe.

OFF TOPIC: theres a few new MGS3 screenshots too:

I got metal gear sold: solid snake, for xbox and its the worst game ever. The controls are HORRIBLE!!!! It must be designed for PS2 type controls in mind cuz it sucks.
Graphically it was like the shit for PS2 but sucked on XBox, Gameplay wise it was good I'll give it that but weird....

it wasn't that bad. Maybe if you had the new controller S it would be better. Considering the worst game ever is too harsh, there's so many worse games out there

They fucked up Metal Gear solid on xbox. It was a direct port from the PS2. When you were in the rain it seemed like that damn game was only moving at like 2 fps.

you have to hold some button to go into aim mode and let go to fire or some shit like that.

Is that how your gun works? hold the trigger, release trigger to fire?!? Plus aiming felt James Bondish, ie not very good analog control.
