SimCity 3000 and the XA music format

I love the music from SC3k, especially SimBroadway (clarinet solo kicks). I also love the game, however, I do not want to have to start the game, select a city, and then hear the music with long pauses in between tracks. Do any of you know how to get the *.xa files to run in Winamp 2.X or (dare I say it) another media player? I know the soundtrack was sold for a while, however, I do not have a credit card (nor similar means) to purchase one. Can anyone help?

Use Game Audio Player and convert them to wav. Alternatly, i have then encoded to MP3 if you want them.

They are also named correctly.

Also, Window Washer's Dream is my fav.

the music from the game is available at simcity.ea.com for free. this includes the music from SC3K and SC4. you can even make a cd case from the pics they have on the site.

Cool. The last SimCity game I played was SC2k... and that was like, back when it first came out.

I'll check out these tracks and see what they're like.

i still have SC2K. i have SC2K special edition. it has some extra stuff on the cd as well. i forgot to metion that the tracks from simcity.ea.com are 128kbs.
