What exactly is the intro file?

intro is short for introduction, wich means as soon as somebody connects to your broadcast he/she hears first the introduction to you station before hearing what you stream at the moment.

2- well you know how to change things in your dnas config , so finding this one should be a walk in the park ( or easier)

why? can't thinks of one single reason why it should, you just point to it

introfile = c:/programfiles/introfile.mp3 ( this is an example)

you take a station call or any bit of music (mp3file) that you think is suitable for an intro file, you make sure that the bitrate and samplerate is exactly the same as your broadcast.

you open the config. of the dnas scroll down to the introfile part , add the place where your introfile mp3 is located and remove the ; before the line introfile= d:/my folder/my music/introfile.mp3
kill server , restart and it should work.
