Intro File?
What exactly is the intro file?
and How do I specify it to a certain track that I want? |

intro is short for introduction, wich means as soon as somebody connects to your broadcast he/she hears first the introduction to you station before hearing what you stream at the moment.
2- well you know how to change things in your dnas config , so finding this one should be a walk in the park ( or easier) |

But doesnt the intro file have to be in the same directory as the server?

Alright i set my intro to my bitrate which is 80 on my shoutcast source...now How do I make a file and set it to my intro?

you take a station call or any bit of music (mp3file) that you think is suitable for an intro file, you make sure that the bitrate and samplerate is exactly the same as your broadcast.
you open the config. of the dnas scroll down to the introfile part , add the place where your introfile mp3 is located and remove the ; before the line introfile= d:/my folder/my music/introfile.mp3 kill server , restart and it should work. |
