playing VOBs, OGG, ect.

From what I've tried so far these codecs won't work.First they straight out didn't work. Then I tried editing "in_dshow.dll" by adding OGG and VOB to the playable format list. This helped barely. The only difference being was I could now here the audio with a black screen. I'm not sure what the problem is. Is it possible other codecs are interfering with Winamps? If so how do I go about this?

can you post links to these files or post the files somewhere for us to test?

[edit]

OGG is strictly an audio format. OGM is for video/audio.

Your OGG files will play with a blank background.

Tried turning overlay off? Preferences > Video > Allow hardware video overlay and Allow YV12 overlay mode

Tried turning video overlay off with same results. The VOB is nothing more than a ripped DVD. Which plays fine in "Nero Showtime", but crashes in Winamp. I looked through my list of ffdshow codecs and couldn't find a extension support for VOB.

Ok. I installed GSpot. And tested out the file.

On "1" I got: [scr]-->>--[A]-->[MPEG Splitter]>--{ffdshow Video Decoder}>--[C]-->{Video Renderer]
Status: Not rendered yet. Use [2] to render

So from their I pressed 2 and got this error:
[scr]-->>--[A]-->[MPEG Splitter]>--{ffdshow Video Decoder}>--[C]-->{Video Renderer]
Failed to connect Output pin 0x05d483bc ("Video") on MPEG Splitter to input pin 0x05baaedc ("In") on filter 0x02228faa ("ffdshow raw video filter). ConnectDirect() failed. Error: 0x80040207: [unknown]

First, look here, download, and install the AC3Filter. Try playing your files.

If that doesn't work, look here and provide the decoder information from within Winamp. It might provide a little clearer analysis than GSpot. Also, provide a DXDiag log (attached, not inline, please).
