Media Library Order

Didn't Winamp used to display albums in proper track order?

In the ALL Audio view, I can sort each column, but can no longer group each album by track number. In other words, each album is separated and ordered alphabetically, but it lists the tracks of said album OUT of order -- 1, 5, 8, 9, 11, 6, ...

I'm not even sure what order it is displaying them in. (It appears to be gathering all of the alike comment fields together or something.)

I'm probably not doing a very good job of describing this, but surely someone can shed some light?

I searched first, but came up with 22 pages; after checking through some of the posts, I still came up empty.

Sounds like your files don't have any track# data in their tags but I guess that's not the case, right?
Can you maybe show us an example of how it looks when sorting by artist?
