Does anyone remember evasive manouvers?
I could never get past the first level.
Anyone remember the little blobs you had to guide around a maze or something and If you lost the shot themselves In the head and you watched their brains fly out, that twisted me .
Jet Pack was another great, It came with Its own level editor..was that DOS?

Jetpack! Ah... the days when shareware was truly shareable. Sharing today's shareware requires highspeed internet, and a cd burner. Even then, it's not worth the trouble if you only get the 1st level, or 6 minutes of play. Jetpack shareware version had 99 levels. And Scorched Earth has everything the registered version has, except one tank model, and the calming of the conscience.

I dunno bout DOS games. I just know that the best game ever was super metroid for that Super NES thing. Remembering about it brings tears to my eyes. Ah, the glory of nintendo in it's days. Then that virtual boy came, and nintendo 64... BOOOhooo

You little guys are so cute (!)

If you wanna talk about the "good ole days" (some of you are referring to stuff that came out seemingly weeks ago) - who here (by simple reply of "I") ever played a game on a Commadore 64???

(For those that don't know what a C64 was, maybe you had an Apple II plus?)

Cute sayingless

Bomberman

I agree with the bomberman 5 decision by Philly B. Top game in all aspects, multiplayer is a lawf, gameplay is excellent, graphics rival Quake III, sounds amazing (especially in dolby digital surround sound), and lastabilty is unrivaled! I especially like the tag mode, although I found the 1 player to become tiresome after 10 hours of continuous play.

Did anyone have an Amstrad 464? I remember this machine with fondness. In fact, I still have it somewhere.

I do have one. It was my first computer in fact!

What games did you have? - I loved the Mastertronik ones, like Caves Of Doom, Soul of a Robot, Chronos etc. And later on Dizzy by Codemasters was great!

There were some pretty neat text adventures too, like the Hobbit etc.

Did you know you can get a really good emulator from http://www.classicgaming.com/caprice/

Most of the software roms are also about somewhere on the net.

The best game i had on my 464 was Harrier Attack. I could not play this game enough.
I remeber soul of a robot as well. It always took ages to load, but it was worth it.

Yes, now you're talking. The whole Dizzy collection was great, as were many of the Amstrad games.

I seem to remember all the games took ages to load! (Takes a brief moment to remember fondly the high pitched whining of data loading off audiocassette!)

Not sure if I should really post this link (it probably violates copyright laws.. even if the stuff is 20 years old!) - but, here's just about everything you could ever want for your CPC!

There is only one Dos game that can be the best:
CHAOS ENGINE
There should be a second part for PC!
