^I've made a mistake a couple times. Ordinarily my pooches are very friendly and nice. Even people that don't like dogs like my dogs. But like I said, I made a mistake a couple times. If your dog doesn't like somebody, take their word for it. I've had a couple times the dog was smarter than I was. If they could say "Told you so", they would.

My wife believes that pets are excellent judges of character.

I believe almost the same, I believe judges are excellent pets. (If you can get them trained properly)

The kids are bad enough when the ice cream truck comes along...

These remind me of a dog I had named Benny. He knew the difference between a McDonalds and a BK. He'd sulk if I hit a BK, because he didn't get a kiddie cone. Give that dog an ice cream cone and he'd sit on the back seat of the car and not spill a drop.

As the first network for canines, DOGTV offers a promise to our beloved best friends that they should never again feel alone.

DOGTV provides television for dogs as a 24/7 digital TV channel with dog friendly programing scientifically developed to provide the right company for dogs when left alone. Through years of research with some of the world’s top pet experts, special content was created to meet specific attributes of a dog’s sense of vision and hearing and supports their natural behavior patterns. The result: a confident, happy dog, who's less likely to develop stress, separation anxiety or other related problems.

DOGTV is recognized by the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), and uses concepts widely supported by leading pet organizations as a valuable product that contributes to the enrichment and quality of dogs' lives.

DOGTV is the ideal babysitter for “home alone” dogs. Research shows that dogs feel better in the company of television, especially when the right content is on.

DOGTV provides television for dogs with three types of programming offering relaxing and stimulating content as well as positive behavioral reinforcements. Dogs that are left alone tend to become anxious so the calming sounds and music in the relaxing segments on DOGTV were created to keep them peaceful. Many dogs also suffer from a lack of stimulation, which becomes acute when their parents are away. The stimulating segments provide dogs with in******ting images, animation and exciting real world sounds to keep them up and running.

DOGTV’s television programming meets a dog’s typical daily routine and helps prevent mental fatigue, depression and boredom.

Here's a little tidbit I picked up. I bought this bottle of "no water" dog shampoo. All the pooches around me are itchy. I suspect Demodectic (caused by more or less normal dog mites) Mange. BB itches a little. The neighbor dogs are to varying degrees tore up. $8 bucks a bottle seemed like it was an awful lot, so I did a little reading and a little testing.

It looks like what this is:

5% baby shampoo. 5% OTC hydrogen peroxide (1.5% solution). 90% water. Soak them to the skin, wipe it off.

The baby shampoo should clog up the spiracles (lungs) of the mites. The peroxide is to PH correct the solution to be a little more alkaline matching the PH of this dog shampoo and a dogs more alkaline skin.

No itchies. No midnight "thump thump thump".

Better living through chemistry.

$8 a bottle. I am in the wrong business.

I would hope that was just a hoax, but it wouldn't surprise me if someone did try to house-train a llama.

Up until last week, me and my co-host "Bucky" had a silent partner in the Falmouth radio station.
Bucky brought Max to almost every show, but recently his health declined due to old age and pancreatic problems.
After a month of constant care and visits to the vets, he got to a point where he gave up and rejected any food.
The final vet visit that nobody wants came, and last week we did our show without needing to leave the door open anymore, but old habits die hard
At least it gave us our theme for the week, and I managed to play loads of dog-related songs.
(The Stooges got a few outings in various mashups)

As you can see by the photos Max was not a big fan of our show.
We did not play enough blues harmonica and were not interested in discussing the merits of peeing on different surfaces, or if food tastes better from a bowl or from a bin.

Also if you look closely you may be able to see that I am using Winamp on a laptop in the studio, because the pro software on the desk is clunky and horrible to use.

Mashups ? Smells like a lot of "Fishy Business" to me.

That's really awesome. They don't have to do that, but they do, because dogs are worth it.

I have a soft spot for dogs.
