My iPod touch doesn't appear in Winamp.

I noticed that Winamp has a plugin for iPod support but I can't seem to get Winamp to recognize the player when I plug it into my machine using the USB cable. Do I need to setup anything to make it appear?

The built-in iPod support does not support any version of the iPod touch or iPhone.

The third-party plugin ml_ipod (designed to replace the built-in support) supports the iPod touch/iPhone up until software version 2.X. It doesn't support 3.X software and it's unlikely either plugin ever will.
