- Update: Online Media tree is now dynamic (Checking can now be disabled)
And just a reminder... if you DO uncheck that option, then you will be stuck with the same 5 Online Media views forever... ie. no live feeds etc for you. Also note that the check is now done on Winamp exit, and not at startup like it was in 5.09 :-) |

Additionally, you can download 5.091 FULL without any "bundles" or anything else added here...
[EDIT] I just added it to the download list in the first post above. [Edit --> DJ Egg] *censored* Alas, I've had to remove the links in both the first post and in this post, by order of Tag/Nullsoft. For sure, I already knew of its existence, but was specifically told not to link to it, for reasons I'm certain you'd all understand (can't say more, heh) :-) [Edit --> Nunzio390] Ahhh. Okay, Egg. No probs. I received your PM btw, and responded. All is good.

btw... you'll be installing 5.091 (not 5.09, which has bugs). Look at the 5.091 Changelog above with all the 5.09-specific fixed bugs (marked with * asterisks *). |

wma 9.1 pro cd rips using the settings in the attached pic sound like alvin the chipmunk on crack in both Winamp Pro 5.091 and Windows Media Player 10.00.00.3901.
I've also tried 16bit wma rips and I get the same effect. I hope it's due to a settings mismatch or something of the like. <edit>the cd rips I did using wma 1.0 encoder were done using the 6 channel setting not the 2 channel setting as shown in the attachment..sorry</edit> |

Because of the problems in 5.09, I'd say this is the most anticipated version of Winamp in the last year or so, as far as I care.
Thanks for all the hard work fixing the bugs guys - appreciate it. I'll wait for it to show up on Winamp.com, I guess. |

Very very nice
![]() I had to delete the my old version's primary winamp folder (excluding plugins/skins) and install this new version because of some nasty crash I kept getting on exit. I'm sure it was related to some corruption in the ini files but it doesn't crash anymore so yay. Nice Release WinAMP! |

Nice, I decided to wait for this release after the trouble with 5.09. I don't watch the winamp videos very often, but I decided to watch some today, and I noticed that 'now playing' type box next to the video... Is there a way to disable that? I'm sorry if thats been answered before.
Also I don't use video's much in winamp (I prefer MPC), but can you freely resize video. i.e. click and drag, and not do 2x/full? Also, I tried having double size with the winamp video and it resized the window longer, but not the video as it should. Anyways, thanks for the upgrade .

"and I noticed that 'now playing' type box next to the video... Is there a way to disable that?"
No, not currently. No sidecar, no free videos :/ "but can you freely resize video. i.e. click and drag, and not do 2x/full?" For Shoutcast TV and other non-aol hosted streams, and for all mpeg/avi/wmv/etc videos stored on your local drives, yes. Basically, for everything except for Winamp Video and AOL Video views. |

Might I ask why there is no mention of the Emusic-less 'full' version?
Regardless, thanks for the updates. Cheers, James |

I think it is some secret conspiracy at Nullsoft... jk
I really think, though, that there is some agreement between Emusic and Nullsoft to feature their music or something. Read above: http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....25#post1674725 |

Can I please just ask this one thing of you all... if you want to see its demise, then please download the emusic bundle 100 times each. Sure, you can download/install the plain full version, or just uncheck emusic in the installer options, but the most important thing is that the emusic bundle actually gets downloaded and registered so. And that is much more than I am probably permitted to say, so don't be freaked if this post is edited later to say something like "some text was here".
[edit] gah, ack, poop - just found out it's gotta be installed to be counted [/edit] Yup, I guess I'll be deleting this post shortly...

There seems to be a bug with mms:// streams if I load one up and listen to it, then close the program and restart the same stream from the playlist, it will start at max volume and not the volume set in winamp, moving the volume slightly up or down fixes this.
This didn't happen in 5.09 |

I can't download the new version, it says:
The requested URL /winamp/client/winamp5091_pro.exe was not found on this server. I've tried all version and I get the same message... bummer I AM the conscience, though I'm not sure if i'm zero or infinity... |

Hmmm. It appears (for at least now) that all 5.091 installers have been removed from Winamp.com and currently can not be downloaded. I'll check into this (try to contact Egg, Ben or Tag) to see what's up.
[EDIT] Okay. It's confirmed. Downloads for 5.091 will no longer be offered until it becomes "official" and the Winamp.com site is updated. |

Well, no downloads yet. Devs are currently working on a small volume bug playing WMA files. Just be patient. They are working on it at this very moment. Patience is a virtue.

What is Ctrl-B supposed to do exactly?
Isn't it just end of list? With winamp 5.091, when repeating is Off when i press Ctrl-B, it changes the song but then when i hit B or the next song button, it just doesn't work. Is it what Ctrl-B is supposed to do? lock the song in repeating off mode, because when repeating is 'all' or 'track', hitting ctrl-B just change the song and the next (>) button and B still work If it's not a feature and that no one can reproduces, i'll try a clean install edit: also, when after pressing Ctrl-B in repeating off mode (when it's locked) at the end of the song it stops playing and doesn't plays an other song, it's not the end of the playlist song tho. |
