VP62 Problem

Guys.. Im streaming using VP62 and there seems to be a problem with the activex control.. I listen to audio but see no video... is there any problem with the activex?

Also, will there be a xpi for netscape for VP6/AAC?

Thx!

There is no ActiveX that supports the VP6.2 video codec.

nah, we're just going ahead of the codecs.

there are no nsv activex codecs for say, divx, but there is a divx decoding dll at sankts site, for divx encoded nsvs.

but i dont know if divx is good for streaming.

Divx is a poor format for streaming. Unless you're using a bitrate of 500+, it is far inferior to VP6.

As for watching streams on Mac, you can use Xine with Fink on Mac OS X

Hi everyone:

Akrall: If you're going to stream using VP6.2 you're going to have to link your website to your broadcast via M3U OR PLS text file ONLY until AO&&^$%#*L decides they don't need Christopher's (or Craig's for that matter) help in teaching AO*&*^$%L's own staff the HOW TO's of SHOUTcasting.

Basically, Christopher and (I think!) Craig is BOTH at the mercy AND beckoning call of AO&&^%#$#L. And unfortunately, this will be for the forseeable future.

As for Mac support for NSV, I know of someone who'd like to see that. He has my station bookmarked, but can only watch at work because he has a Mac at home.

Hopefully someone will upgrade MacAmp someday?

Cheers for now everyone
