5.09 Player Problemb

I searched the forums for someone else with this problemb... But didnt find any... Anyway...

When I open Winamp, by clicking on my quick launch icon, it opens on screen, but on the start bar it is not open yet. It is also frozen on my screen. It is approx. 180 seconds before it responds to anything or is useable.

I uninstalled and reinstalled it once already and the problemb still persists. My computer is working top knotch, I can do everything else I have ever needed too. I have also restarted quite a few times.

Does anyone know how to fix this problemb?

running any 3rd party plugins?

but mainly its 5.09, wait till next week ~thursday(or earlier) for 5.091, which should resolve a few bugs in 5.09.

if you need a fix right now, uninstall 5.09 and downgrade to 5.08e, which was stable for you, i assume. If not only for a week, its still better than using the current buggy player.

please post http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....d=161361#specs if issue doesnt resolve itself after youve installed 5.08e or later when you install 5.091

Hi,

I had a similar problem and maybe my solution helps you too.

I renamed the gen_ml.dll in the plugins folder to gen_ml.dll.old

This disables the MediaLibrary (I don't use it) and Winamp is fast again.

If you disable the Winamp Library on setup, then you wouldn't have to worry about that step. The question is still to be answered why your comp acted slow though...
