Why don't you make a button that has the same attributes in the "Jump to file" dialogue, or on the playlist and media library, as the one in Windows "Find target"... Something that can open automatically the folder where that file is and selects it...

FFOD is good, but it only works on items in the current playlist. Can't it be made to work on items in the Media Library too?

the playlists in the media library use a different api interface to what's in the media library which i've never looked into/investigated with the devs what's even possible. maybe when i get the time i'd have a look at it i'll see what can/can't be done..
