Server not seeing Source on port forwarded

I recently got a brand new computer, installed the latest shoutcast server (GUI) and port forwarded ports 8000-8001 for both TCP and UDP and started both the server and the source. The source will try to connect to the server but can't, and the server will only say sleeping. I am port forwarded for 192.168.1.102 which is my computer's local ip address. Both the server and the source have the same IP address, 24.253.205.15. I have SP1 installed on the new computer and there are no firewalls or NAT's on the network besides the router's, which is configured to open ports 8000 & 8001. The computer running the station doesn't have any software to block outgoing or incoming connections as well.

is the server on the same machine as the dsp?

if so what do you have in the address area of the dsp?

you only need to have localhost and the port and password.

even if the ports are closed your dsp would still be able to connect to the server but you would get a nak error.

sounds like a dsp fault to me?
