Can't NOT use the LAME codec?

Ok, i'm running shoutcast DSP 1-8-0 (because it has recording facilities). I've recently installed some LAME codecs for encoding mp3 audio, and now shoutcast comes up with ACM errors and I can't NOT select a LAME codec from the dropdown menu. I know that the original fruahnheiser or whatever it is (I can't remember how it's spelt :P) codec is still on my computer, I just don't know why shoutcast has decided use these instead . I've done a complete unintall and reinstall of all the codecs on my system and it still won't use the original ones that work with it .

Any idea's ^_^?.
