Not real-time broadcasting...?
I use winamp2.8 play songs and use winamp3 to check the listenings on the same computer.
i find the client winamp(winamp3) always play from the first song i played , not the current song....further more...it plays the first song i played YESTERDAY... wat's wrong with it...? i remember some months ago i installed shoutcast on another system and i worked properly... |

solution...
I had that problem too at first, but then i realised what the problem was...
you listen to your own stream on the same pc... that means that the stream you hear from yourself is then broadcasted again, and that loops over and over again (i hope i explained it well, i'm not english )so if you want to check your own stream, you should do that on an other pc. get it? :P |

Just to add...
You can broadcast over a LAN only - as I do it at work. I have shoutcast broadcasting to about 30 clients on my internal LAN and no-where else! Just thought I'd add my bit ![]() cheers Raffles

Use the lan ip to connect from a lan machine...
Not the real ip. Example: Lan... http://192.168.2.2:8000 Outside... http://206.126.6.36:8000 |
