What are parents feeding their children these days?! Sheesh!

Bizarre! It must have been twins in gestation, then somehow one died and got absorbed into the other. The surviving twin must have been born with the fetus inside. They don't really say how it happened.

Didn't that happen a long time ago, too? Where they were twins, but one twin grew inside the other? How horrible.

um..DUH!

I am assuming that everyone here has something of an IQ is saying that I am sure that everyone has heard of siamese (conjoined) twins? This is most likely the case here, jsut the other twin is dead (like the nurse on South Park) and on his inside. He didn't eat it. Don't be dumb.

CALCUTTA (Reuters) - Indian doctors have removed a fetus weighing one kilogram (2.2 lbs) from a 6-month-old boy.... In November 2000, doctors at another nursing home in Calcutta removed a fetus weighing 230 grams from a 40-day-old infant
Is this a common thing in India nowadays??[

Usually twins and whatnot have a genetic component, so it could be that there is a slightly higher occurance in certain areas due to a combination of genetic and environmental factors.

btw, I mentioned the twin thing near the top of the thread too

"Well, got to love you and leave you, need to go get into the shower and rub my hard naked body all over with soapy bubbles, I'll be back later to carry on playing....

If life was South Park some fat kid with man boobs would be trying to sell the fetus to medical research facilities for a hefty price.

alas life isn't that fun

Actually, that's not all that far-fetched. From what I understand, it's not uncommon for a zygote to partially split, and then one half absorb the other. It's just uncommon for both zygotes to develop to the fetus stage and then for one to be absorved.

It's unlikely to be primarily genetics, because genetics deals with genes and DNA, etc. This is likely a cell biology thing.
