A spamee.

I'm just thinking about a Winamp3 concept skin. It'll be highly conceptual and prolly a lil' undesirable in terms of usability. Plus it'll be WinXP/2000 only (alpha transparency a must for the concept).

aye sonique2 supports psd fomrat and uses the style of each layer within the psd for the effect/action of that layer when activated. Very nice, hell I built a test skin in little under 20 Minutes from an original skin I've been working on with my collab partner.

I must say that its rather amazing that WA3 takes 3 People to make a skin

Coder | Animator | Graphic Artist

Although, the last to can usually be combined. The first cannot without a great deal of 'prev' experience. Anyways, I'm loving S2 and its engine. I think I've found something else for the time being that is quick, easy and not frustrating to actually design skins for.

Sonique.com

Remember Sonique 2 is still in alpha stage but, from what I see it workx very well already. Only a few small bugs...

Also, noteworthy is that s2 seems to be more stable and easily launched than wa3 (not to mention similar styled skins are about 1/2 the file size).

yes, yes I am a traitor...although, I was just curious to find out what the competition was up to. And let me tell you I love what they have done versus what wa3 (AOL:TW) has accomplished....

heh

i mafe a winamp3 skin a looong time ago, like when BETA 1 was out i think, it was easy since it was just a remake of a winamp2 skin of mine and it sucked. but anyways, i very much prefer the limited skinning in winamp2 except for the fact that you cant have the playlist transparent at all. but yeah, like the skin im working on now, and the skns i will be doing in the future, they WILL be for winamp2 and winamp2 only. the only way ill even use winamp3 is if they make it fast enough to run on a AMD k6-2 500MHz on win2k. since that will never appen, winamp2 + me = best of friends heh :P

the XML for dummies book aint very helpfull i think.
Xept when you want to use it for building web-sites.
The XML for WA3 is very simple and a bit diffrent from the web XML.

as far as I know. I could be totally wrong ofcourse.

I'm a Wa2 skinner (if I can call myself a skinner since my last skin is ancient ). I'll skin Wa3 when I learn XML.

Yeah, I think I have the pertaining XML mostly down pat, as far as WA3 is concerned. Didn't take me very long, but I also have that dummies book .

My dad bought my mom that PC for dummies book, and that pissed her off , though she doesn't know shit about PC's outside Corel Draw and Word , she once even tried opening autoexec.bat with Corel.... good thing I caught her .
