Hi, when I try to compile I get
code: I thought that meant an error on either line 69 or 19, but it doesn't seem to be either. Have looked for a typo but can't find it. Problem is with line 105 since that's where the delete function is? Man I suck at following code.. Edit: I deleted line 105, and the script compiles fine and seems to work great Is this OK or will I have problems without 'delete clockMode'?

hahahaha, great work leechbite, you did it the same way i wanted to use for it
The only thing i did difernet was i added a button. the text doesnt change real time you must press on the button and then it is done.

pretty cool leechy, i will add a new feature which allows the user to choose between some fonts to show the text. if i have some new ideas i will add them too

Here's one for the Equalizer button (or any other button, really), where clicking it toggles the EQ as usual, but double-clicking it brings up the Presets menu.

Display Change (Fading) Display Change (Instant) To view the scripts you can either click on the links and view them online or you can right click and save as to download them. They need to be compile when you get them. All I ask in return is a mention that it is my script, just so your not taking credit for it. Any alterations of it may be made but please mark at the top of the script (you will see mine) that you have made alterations to it. -matt |

By setting the text to "tmp" you lock that string into the SongTicker. Here's how to clear it...
Add a timer to your script: Global Timer SongTickerTimer; Initialize it in System.onScriptLoaded(): SongTickerTimer = new Timer; SongTickerTimer.setDelay(1000); Create a new function: SongTickerTimer.onTimer() { SongTicker.setText(""); SongTickerTimer.stop(); } Add this line to the end of your 8, 9, and 10 states: SongTickerTimer.start(); Delete the timer by adding this to System.onScriptUnloading(): delete SongTickerTimer; Hope this helps, ~FrisbeeMonkey P.S. Well, i should first think a little about my problem and then to post a topic... I just readed my script and saw that it may be done with setAlternateText(), and i saw that i forgoten to delete two lines in 9 and 10 state (setText()s) I don't have to use timer, but frisbee, thank you alot!
If you wasn't told me about timer i think that i would be confused about mistake... |

I have finished polishing a script and library which will enable users to fade a group and unfade another.

I solved submenus problem (well not solved, i just put one big menu with no submenus) but i have one more problem (again!?): I made some changes on seekbuttons.m script by Digitalhigh, and my script won't work! Well, what's happening when you try using your script? Not working meaning you are getting a Guru Meditation, or they are functioning like normal Previous and Next Buttons or what? And submenus are possible, I just made a quick little test to make sure it hasn't changed in WA5: code: That little bit creates a subMenu just fine. What were you having trouble with, exactly? Well, I fixed problems with seekbuttons (problem was that they didn't seek, if you understand me, but it's fine now), but i have one more (!); I can't wrote script for layout docking! Can u help me with this? And that submenus thingy: u probably didn't understand me becasue of my english; I want to have couple menus e.g. songticker menu and volume menu and to popup them when is rightclicked on ticker and volume, and i want to have one main menu that will have these two menus as his submenus. I hope that u can ynderstand me? |

i have a question. i am making a new skin and for main window i made "normal" and "shade". but then i decided to include a few variations of "normal" (most of the layout will be same, only the theme images will be different - i couldn't choose any so decided to include all -). so that anybody can choose the image which they prefer. it's ok to make rename them as normal, normal 1 and shade when variations are less. in this case when you press toggle button, it cycles through windows in "normal", "normal 1" and "shade" order. but if there's more (about 5 variations), though writing xml stuff will be very easy (only a few names need to be changed for this) it will not be user free. because when someone using a "normal" (whichever it was) and decides to switch to another, he will have to cycle through all windows. i don't know if i am clear enough so i'll try to explain it more:
N1: normal 1 N2: normal 2 N3: normal 3 S: shade (name doesn't matter), it can also be normal 4. by using appropriate parameters in <button id="switch" action="SWITCH" param="shade" x="10" y="2" image="player.normal.sysbutton.switch" downImage="player.normal.sysbutton.switch.down" rectrgn="1" tooltip="switch to shade"/> we can make them as seperate windows. and let's assume that we are using N1. we press switch button to N2, then again to N3 and again to S, and finally to N1. so no problem here but a long way to return to start. player.xml will be like this <!-- Main Window: Container and Layout --> <include file="player-elements.xml"/> <container id="main" name="Main Window" default_x="0" default_y="0" default_visible="1"> <include file="player-normal1.xml"/> <include file="player-normal2.xml"/> <include file="player-normal3.xml"/> <include file="player-shade.xml"/> </container> assuming that you understood the situation here's my question. is it possible to write a script and while normal xml makes you switch though one "normal" and one "shade" the script gives you chance to choose your normal style directly. and example for this: N: normal S: shade n1: normal 1 n2: normal 2 n3: normal 3 in this case we only use two xml's -normal and shade-. and a script allows us (through config panel maybe) choose among n1, n2 and n3 to be used as N. so when we press switch, it switches from N to S and S to N. player.xml will be like this <include file="player-elements.xml"/> <container id="main" name="Main Window" default_x="0" default_y="0" default_visible="1"> <include file="player-normal.xml"/> <include file="player-shade.xml"/> </container> and from a different window we choose which normal to use. is this possible? and is it worth to try it? currently i have 3 normal windows and 1 shade window. should i use the first regular method? do you suggest using more than 2 graphical variations for a skin. |

Multiple layouts is fairly common, if you want to use all the layouts, then by all means, go for it ![]() For your layout switching, I'd recommend that your buttons each go the next one, as you have them now. BUT, when you right-click a button, maybe popup a menu to let the user select which layout they want to jump to. While I cannot think of any off the top of my head, this has been done in a few skins. hello boys and girls...
i've read through the first 6 or so pages, but i can't be bothered reading throught the rest i have a whole bunch of scripts for request: multiline song ticker display, like EMP2 (artist on one line, songname on another) and no event display, like stop seperate event display, which can use images, instead of words. did anyone figure out the uni-direction song ticker? like wa2? a script for a seek/volume segmented dial, say 20 segments for eg, but instead of just blacking out one at a time, it starts by fading in the first, then the second, and so on... ya know what i mean? hmmm... that's all i can think of atm... hope i'm not pushing my luck too far... if you've done one of these, just lemme know what it was called and i'll search for it.thanks... Hi,
i have a script wich use an animated volumeslider like wa2x. He works very well. I need a similar script for the balance to make a great skin. I have try to modify the script for that. Here is the script i modified: PHP Code:
