Problems with adding directories

Unlike 3.x, Winamp 2.x has still support for FOLDERS to enqueue for playing.

I've downloaded a load of MP3s from a website, and the structure is this:

D:\MP3\
[1] -> '1.mp3' inside
[2] -> '2.mp3' inside
[3] -> '3.mp3' inside
...
[25] -> '25.mp3'inside

So there are 25 folders named '1' to '25', each of them containing ONE MP3, and 2.x allows to enqueue ALL the folders to play the MP3s *within* these folders.
So far, so good.
So I pressed CTRL-A to select all folders, then "Enqueue in Winamp".
Now the following happened: my Task Manager was like exploding! Dozens and dozens of winamp.exe processes were created, and it used up my whole virtual mem PLUS all of my real mem for this procedure!
Bit by bit, all the winamp.exe processes were killed again and everything went back to normal. But while enqueuing, my machine was like dead.

Is this supposed to happen?

This was supposedly fixed - are you using the latest version - 2.81?

However, there still exists a bug with the enqueue that sometimes not all the files are put in the playlist - but it's a damn sight better than a million Winamps!

The 'a million Winamps' bug still persists in 2.81, yes.
Sorry for not telling which system I'm running it on: Win2000 SP 2.

Check and see if Allow multiple instances is turned on in Preferences. If possible, can you update to Win2k SP3? I couldn't reproduce this on WinXP and WA2.81. This issue was supposed to be fixed in 2.79.
