Shoutcast Title Streaming and International Characters
I am using Winamp 2.81 and the Shoutcast DSP (v.1.82b) to create a stream, which I am then sending to the Shoutcast DNAS (which is running on Solaris).
The problem that I'm having is that any files which have international or accented characters show up in the remote Winamp as a "y" with two dots over it (Extended ASCII character #152). I checked the ID3Tags, and they show up inside of the Winamp that is creating the stream. Is this a bug with the Shoutcast DSP? Or is there some sort of bit-ordering problem between Windows (where the stream is created) and Solaris (where the stream is served)? Help! |

It is the fault of the DSP. Try using either an old version of the DSP (1.8.0) or Oddcast. Try a quick forum search on either of them for links if needed.
