mp3 files stopped playing
I hope someone out there can help me with this. I have several hundred mp3 files on my computer. Out of nowhere, they stopped playing for me the other day. Whether I use winamp, realaudio, mediaplayer, etc. - nothing works. However, all of the mp3 files I have downloaded since then ARE still able to play. WAV files also still seem to be working. I have never run into anything like this before, and any help anyone can provide is appreciated.

first off, tervetuola to the forums.
![]() as for your problem, all i can say is that it's a not a problem with the codecs because you were able to get mp3's to play after the incident. check the filesizes of the affected mp3's. if they are unusually small, something may have erased a large part of their contents. this post is getting stupid, so i can't help you any more.
