Exploding Whales

Apparantly this has existed for a long time on the internet- I just discovered it recently so I'll post it just the same.

This is a video of a newscast in Oregon- a giant whale washes up on shore and the city doesn't know what to do with it- so someone gets the great idea to blow it up with dynamite.

Very bad idea- large chunks of whale fly everywhere, one large enough to land and total some poor sap's car.

The best part though is the sounds during the detonation- you hear the crowd's cheer for a second, and then a transition to horror as whale viscera land on them. Sounds something like "AhhhhhhYaaaayyyyyyyyOHmygod!...Damn!"

somebody could crop the first 2 minutes off the start (it's 3mins 30secs long), but it's really funny to see this cloud of smoke, sand and whale guts flying up into the air and landing

heh @ whale

thats why you cut the whale in a bunch of places and push it back out to sea, then it will sink. that goes for pretty much large dead beached sea animal
