Working with PWS/IIS
On the wishlist:
I'm on a college campus, and in terms of ports they block everything except port 80. Of course, streaming Shoutcast through just that port is easy, no problem, but when one tries to run PWS/IIS at the same time, sacrifices are made. It would be good if shoutcast could be run as a webserver also (which doesn't seem like it'd be too hard, but rebukes/corrections are welcome) or find someway for IIS to work with Shoutcast. ~rj |

Although I haven't tried this you can try using a local proxy script. Tom has written a simple PHP & MySQL based script that will do what you are looking for. It is fairly easy to rip out the authentication portion of it. At which point all you will need is a webserver with PHP (compiled with socket support).
The original script is here. If you want the stripped down version of the script (without the authentication just send me a Priv. Mess. and I'll shoot it over. -L"k" |
