SHOUTcast @ LAN

i want to use SHOUTcast on LAN. i have install the dj on a win2k system with k-6/2 400 128 MB SD-RAM 40 GB HDD and the streamer on a linux system with Athlon 900 mhz 512 MB SD-RAM 20 GB HDD. Both works nice. The Streamer must works with max. 500 User. The Bitrate of the stream is 128kbps. this makes a traffic of ca. 7.9 MB/s on Lan. it this right? The connection of the streamer is 100Mbit on LAN. So my fist question is ... does the Hardware and LAN preformence are sufficient?

My second and more important problem is that the streamer program always try to connect to yp.shoutcast.com to make my radio visible at the internet. But i don't have a internet connection at my radio only a LAN connection. So always the streamer brings an error: yp.shoutcast.com every second. i want do deactivate this and this errormassage. it is possible and how can i do that?

sorry for my bad english it is not my mother language...
