errrrr anyone else missing out how exactly posh and becks got MI5 style protection "reserved normally for the monarchy"

My only theory is that there is more than meets the eye. the becks are possibly involved in something, i.e. brain washing the nation and world for the british empire so people like me don't expose the truth.

I don't give a toss about them, so to speak, but I'm of the opinion that there's something fundamentally wrong with kidnapping people and holding them to ransom (call me old fashioned).

Thus (in all seriousness) I feel that they do diserve some sort of protection. Yes they're rich and not particularly intelligent or talented, but they should be allowed to live and bring up a family in peace - it's a basic right that everyone should have for Christ's sake.

Scene: Secret Government Bunker. 12 shadowy figures sit in deep armchairs around a large, circular table. No faces can be seen. Cigar smoke curls upwards. One of the figures (the leader, perhaps?) speaks.
"So gentlemen, our plans proceed apace. Phase Two is nearing completion, and soon we shall be ready. Agent Seven shall now brief us on ongoing operations."

One of the figures stands up, bangs his head on one of the lights overhanging the table, and quickly slumps back down. In the brief moment he was standing, it could be seen that he was wearing a red shirt with a large number 7 on the back.
"Excuse me," he said in a squeaky, girlish voice. "Ahem, er anyway. Yes. Right. Everything is going fine, no problems. The wife's new album has bombed and United are going nowhere in the League, so the public will never, er, what? Sorry my head hurts... ummm". Agent Seven slumped even deeper into his armchair.

"Excellent," said the leader. "We have only one problem to contend with before Phase Three can begin," he paused dramatically, "that damn Windude! He is the only one who can stop us now! He's been on to us from the beginning, and he is spreading the word!" The leader banged his fist onto the table. "He must be stopped!"

Exit, fade to black...
