Farewell, adeiu, to you and you and you...

In case anyone cares, this is a signing off type posting.
I've just had enough of feeling really depressed with every skin I've ever posted on this site.

The first skin got 4 *'s, about 15K dwnlds and a couple of truly terrible comments.
The second got 4 *'s, a couple of excellent comments and about a thousand dwnlds.
My latest (and in my opinion, my best) only got 3 *'s and got no dwnlds over 3 days (it not being listed, big surprise, in the 'latest' section).

I've had more success than some, but I'm no part-time web designer and it takes me AGES to make something which looks decent.

All of my postings are a disappointment in at least some respect. So, I have reclaimed them. They are no longer public domain.

I'll always be at the site to download stuff, but I think that's all from now on.

Anyone who liked/downloaded 'Nighthawks' or 'Dead Flag Blues' I thankyou. But for now, I bid you all a fond farewell..

Why thankyou, I always liked to think I have a life. You see, I'm the type of person who comments only when I think my opinion is wanted or relevant. But, to each his own.

Incidentally, this is my second guise after forgetting the password for my first login. I've barely posted anything over the last couple of years, I've been quite busy and like I said, nobody cares.

Always wanted to do that. I'll leave with some words of wisdom...

It's really stupid how you are giving up like that over some comments some idiots posted about your skins. Honestly. If you know they are good work, and it sounds like you must have put work into it (I can't make those things worth shit.) then you have to fight just to keep them alive. (Oh wow that was ripped from Eye Of The Tiger but yeah that's okay.) Shame on you for giving up.

More than anything, it was just that I thought the last one I did was my best yet and it got the least stars. As my skins are (were) quite unusual in terms of subject matter, it means that if they don't get high marks initially (before people shred 'em up), then they just get buried. I'll probably re-post them in time. Especially as the last one took a while to make and has only been seen by me and two downloaders.

Anyone heard of the electronic music-makers Autechre? Want to see a skin based on their album cover? Thought not...but I'll post it again anyway.

Look out for skins of godspeed you black emporor!, Autechre and Nighthawks (film noir thing) if you wanna poke fun later

Why not post links to your skins here? Might get them a few more downloads, and maybe some comments.
