Drawer Problem
I've implemented four drawers in a skin I'm working on for myself. The first three I made work just fine (repeat/shuffle/xfade, thinger, EQ). Unfortunately, the fourth one refuses to move. I've been checking code and XML for 2 hours, and I can't seem to find the problem. I've renamed the components in both the script and XML a dozen times, re-modified the maki at least three, and am going mildly insae over why it won't work. I haven't installed play buttons yet, but everything else is in just fine. I've moved the offending tray down so tthe functions are accessible, but if anyone could tell me what's wrong, I'd be very grateful.

Not to make you feel dumb, but did you recompile the .m script after redefining everything? That and make sure that the .maki file is in the right place after you recompile it.

Nope...
I even tried renaming every single variable... still nothing. I recompiled that thing about a dozen times. I've changed the name of the file, and its reference. Is rthere some kind of limit to number of drawers or something? This is just really odd... Current version (not uploaded) has play buttons and I moved that tray so it's in its "extended" position so it makes more sense, but the &^*$ing drawer still won't slide. I switched the X coords in the script, just in case, and that didn't work. I'm baffled... I've been working on this stupid drawer for about another hour... nothing. It's really beginning to bug me.
I tried commenting out everything but the background, the overlay , and this drawer, and still nothing. Is there some weird problem in my coding? Last edited by Aref_Naa; 16th November 2002 at 15:13. |

Nevermind?
I finally decded to do the script from scratch, and all four drawers seem to work fine. However, does anyone know of a skin in which the AVS, Playlist Ed, and Video windows are in custom windows orr drawers in the skin? I'm planning on making a little widget with these in it to go along with my main window
