Need some advice...
...on what kinda monitor I should get. I need a new one because I broke a few pins on the connection cable for the monitor I have right. It should just be a replacement of the cable, but the way the monitor is made, the cable is stuck right into the back of the monitor with no way of disconnecting it.
I'm lookin' for a 17" flat-panel monitor. I've already done some researchin', but some advice would be really helpful.

I did that to a monitor one time. It was the same scenario. Broken pins. Hard-mounted cable. I took the monitor apart, performed surgery on the cable (with the help of my trusty soldering iron), and replaced the connector. Worked fine after that.
![]() As for a new monitor, I couldn't really tell you. I've been using my 17" CTX for a couple years now, and I still like it. I'm not really sure what's on the market right now that's good.

Are you talking about flat panel (lcd) or normal flat screen monitor.
For LCD, I would say, one of these: http://www.infotechnow.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=596 For a flat-screen: http://www.infotechnow.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=587 | |
