Expresion bits !=NULL

file c:\projects\studio\bfc\bitmap.cpp
Line 133

My guess is that you don't have this image..

"Player.winshade.highlight.left"

Defined anywhere, or if you do you have a typo in the elements tag.

Not testing this on a development build by some chance are you? #491 seems to borke each and every time an image is missing for some reason.

The thing is that I am using the sample tutorial from winamp and changing the .png for my file. I didn't know they even needed a winshade mode because nothing was mentioned.

now take a look at this. I get this while trying to view my .xml doc

Only one top level element is allowed in an XML document. Error processing resource 'file:///C:/My Documents/xml/player.xml'. Line 23, Position 2

<groupdef id="player.normal.playbuttons" name="Player buttons">
-^

i checked for typos and didn't find any. what dose this mean?

thanks for the help.

That's because you aren't allowed more than one containing tag in an xml document, called the Document Root.

Winamp's xml files aren't strictly xml until all the includes have been followed.

If you're trying to view them in ie, it won't work.

If I should need to check my winamp .xml for errors file what can I do it with? Also, is #491 the latest build? I remember downloading the latest build so I can start skinning.

Any old text editor will open an XML file. Some do syntax highlighting. I like Crimson Editor. #491 is the latest developers build, and it's only available from http://www.winamp.com/nsdn/ . Build 488 is the latest public build, and that's available on Winamp's main site.

Then you downloaded it from somewhere's outside of Nullsoft's domains. Betanews maybe? Anyway, a Winamp installer isn't any big deal, but I don't send users to untrusted sources when they can get what they need right here.

Build 491 is a developers build and it shouldn't be distributed far and wide.
