It may sound unoriginal, but I still love Garfield over any other.

I don't have a fave character so much as I like certain artists' styles or certain writers' take on a character. I like Bruce Timm's look for Batgirl (Timm, along with Paul Dini, produced and created the look of the Batman, Superman, Batman Beyond, and Justice League cartoons).

Also, Spder Jerusalem from Warren Ellis's Transmetropolitan. Think Hunter S. Thompson in a cyberpunk setting.

Get fuzzy is the best new printed syndicated cartoon in a long while-not to mention that it is one of the best drawn syndicated cartoons in ages. The style of cartoons has always been more and more minimal, which is OK, but it is nice to see something with depth, quality, and humor.
On the otherside, I can't get over Penny Arcade- the snide, over confident sneer on all the character's faces makes me think of all the 4th graders down my street who's pants are on their ankles who's daily discussions sound like gangsta rap. I am a big fan of Max Cannon's Red Meat- especcially the "god" character. ![]()

I have no outright favorite, as I value certain characters as my favorites within a series, BUUUUTTT....
I grew up with Calvin and Hobbes. I just wish that I had that much fun in my backyard. *sigh* flat...durn...pine...woods... When driving a Classic Mopar, be sure to run over as many Geo/Chevrolet Metros as possible.

Although Sonic was cool, and I favored Knuckles a litle higher than Sonic, you can't really ignore Dr. Eggman (Robotnik) if you're fan of the Sonic Comics! But here's one taken from the Sonic Adventure game series.
![]() I started collecting the Sonic The Hedgehog comic series made by Archie Comics around issue #30-40-something up to issue #80-something, and skipped for a few months (Or a year or 2, I think). Lost interest, but when Sonic Adventure 2 came out for the SD, I started collecting back around issue #95, and continued up until issue #105(?) but missed out in getting #100. I don't know, I was on and off in the series, but I got alot of the Super Sonic Specials, all of the Tails Mini Series, and most of Knuckles' Mini Series. Thanks to this topic, I think I might start getting involved with it all over again... But aside from the Sonic comics, I'm also into the Love Hina manga. Naru and Shinobu are my top 2 favorite characters, but I'm a big fan of Motoko! Here's one from the manga series with her in the back, but I can't remember who that other person is...If who's into the LH manga knows who it is, 411 me...It's driving me nuts! ![]() A very close Japanese friend I knew a while ago once said to me "Watashi no koto wo oboeta, onegai shimasu...Yakusoku?" I forgot his name though... |
