In that department, you are mistaken, my friend. The only red-headed male deity of the night worth worshipping is The Pasty White, Freckled One With The Large Head:

I stand by my assertion. Kilborn is much funnier than Conan.

Once again you are all wrong. The funniest person on late night:

The rest are contrived characters who were formulated to appeal to the 18 to 25 demographic. They are merely talking heads.

I agree Jon Stewart is hilarious. He's not really a talk show host in the strictest sense. His show is really more a parody of CNN. He is as funny as Letterman, but I was thinking talk show hosts when I posted.

And he's got that stupid "I think I'll beat my desk with a pencil while sticking out my tongue" thing.

You would think a Hah-vahd educated history major could do better than the string dance, nerd chic, and ogling fashion models. His attempted humor is too visual and just embarrassing to watch. He does an occasional good bit, but rarely.

Letterman has something sharper than his teeth in his head. That would be his wit and his ability to adlib without a pause.

That's more stupid than the "string dance"?

They are the same person,Joshua Hommes just vibrates with a slightly different quantum signature thus enabling him to occupy the same space/time continuum as Craig...his doppleganger.

YOU ARE DAMN RIGHT! How many emmy's has he won in a row now, 5?

David Letterman is the best late night man on television, he introduced me to late night. It was also a sad time when he had heart sergury and he was not on anymore.

Conan is corny, but that is what makes him so funny. And some of the little skits he has, Letterman and Kilborn just can't compare to. Anyone see that 'School for Santa Claus' skit a few nights ago? Prime example. And what about the 'LOTR vs. Star Wars' skit? That has to be the damn funniest thing I've ever seen.

I like the Daily Show, but I really wouldn't classify it as a late night talk show. Another great show is Leno. He's right behind Conan IMO.

Leno... is a rather repetitive to me; I like him least of all of the hosts. (Although his ratings are the highest of all them, go figure)

Leno is a hack. He may have been funny at one point (I dunno, haven't been paying much attention to his career), but now he's just banking on his reputation. Some of his skits are good for a laugh or two (in greater proportion, in fact, than any other host excepting Conan), but a lot of them are major bores. There was this really moronic one during the Winter Olympics dealing with some incompetent intern. It was one of those running gags that you just wish would die. Now, Conan's Whale Week, on the other hand... now THERE'S comedy

But that's just my opinion

Did you ever see the Civil War themed show? Or the Show where the entire audience was preschool age children and all they had on as guests were Wall Street Analysts?

I don't watch TV that much. The only thing I ever watch once in awhile is south park or the simpsons.

Even though he doesnt host a talk show, Dave Attell
is the real king of late night.

randman, I liked Letterman a lot in the mid-eighties, but at some point he just sopped being funny to me. Even before he went to CBS he seemed to have lost something.

Conan, even though he was once a producer and a writer on The Simpsons, still loses my vote as well. I can't stand Leno. I stand by my assertion that Kilborn is the best.

Though I do agree with Sawg that Jon Stewart is damned funny as well, I don't categorize The Daily Show as a late night talk show (which the others are).
