The Curse of the Linksys's

I'm wonder if any one can help me with this nut-twister of a problem?
so no one gets confused I'll explain the layout... (so you don't give to old XP firewall turn-off, stick and past answer)

O/S Windows 98-SE
Linksys 4 port router
ZoneAlarm firewall

I'll tell you the steps I've taken and the errors I'm getting...
First off the Error that's been haunting me for the last 3 days:

[yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave error (nak)
[yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave extended error (404 Cannot see your station/computer from the Internet, disable Internet Sharing/NAT/firewall/ISP cache)

I've taken the necessary steps to change the port Forwarding
(E.g. Service Port Range 8000 to 8001 and set it to the computers IP Address..
and if that's not enough the DMZ Host is set on it too)

now the 8000 port is open when I check it with the port scanner at (http://www.radiotoolbox.com/online_t...ntheygetin.php)
But went I try 8001 I get the following:

194.117.133.180:8001 is Closed

Reason Given: Connection refused
More about this error: This essentially means that the port is open to the internet but has no services associated with it. There is no firewall protection on this port.

I'm guessing if I get this port open everything will be hunky-dory..
Now your first thing that will pop into you head is "It's your fire wall you dumarse!"
but alas, It tiss not true, Because I have taken the wall of god know how many times with no avail.

So does any one know how this problem is fixed? (Or what steps I've missed?).
But this Is my last hope before I ring up my isp and ask them if it's a problem with them (There shouldn't be because they don't use Proxy)..
