Winamp2 worked with streaming, 3 does not

I did not post this in the shoutcast forum for the simple reason that Winamp 2 worked perfect with all the streaming music I listened to. Winmp 3 on the other hand does not work at all.
When I try to connect to a shoutcast server, Winamp3 instantly says HTTP: returned 0, and does nothing else. I am using ATTBI cable with a Linksys 4 port router, and windows XP. XP firewall is disabled, router settings are mostly at default which worked fine with Winamp2. I Just spent half an hour searching these forums for a solution and couldnt find anything usefull at all. Any ideas? Thanks

Well, regardless, it is a SHOUTcast question and you will get a better response there. However, I do see that you DID in fact post the same question there, 20 minutes after you posted here...

I'm pretty certain that a Mod will shortly lock this thread but allow you to continue in your cross-post in the SHOUTcast Technical Support forum. But in the meantime, I'll just throw a few things at you...

Press CTRL+P to bring up preferences window
System > Media
Under Preferred Media, select PLS (SHOUTcast playlist extension)
To the right of that, under "Protect Associations", make sure that "Register types on Winamp start" and "Maintain media type settings" are both checked off

Under HTTP seeking settings, make sure "Allow seeking on files over HTTP" is checked
