will shoutcast fit the bill?

Hello, I am new to the forum and am wondering if shoutcast can do the following:

1) Allow me to stream to a computer only on my home network (for now) on demand, not continually (only when requested).

2) The songs will be played in a random fashion.

3) To be able to play also on my Philips Streamium unit (this may be a philips issue and not shoutcast). This unit is a mini stereo which can also stream mp3s from the internet. It used to have a section for shoutcast, but I haven't seen it lately.

I know that these might be remedial questions to some, but I am just getting started, so don't abuse me too much.

Thanks, Al

1) in DSP, uncheck "Make this server public" and just enter the station address on the other computers in your network (address is http://your.ip.number:portnumber/listen.pls, ex http://68.3.55.67:7000/listen.pls).

2) Click the "Shuffle" button in Winamp.

3) Can't help much with 3, though. Maybe do the address thing in 1.

This is a sig of some nature.

see if theres an option on that stereo or on a web based thing to enter the ip address and port -- i'm pretty sure those phillips things can play shoutcast streams.
