Hello! I've just upgraded to Winamp3 and I like the new look a lot; it took me a while to find and try the features, but it's cool indeed! I do want to use this program and the spiffy skins! However I found a problem that won't allow me to use the program.
The problem I found is, when I select a batch of MP3 from a CD, I get a Studio fatal error and my comp freezes. I have re-downloaded (in case it'd be an error in the download) and reinstalled Winamp3 three times. I deactivated the Internationalization option the three times I reinstalled because I read here in the forums that could be of help, but still it didn't work for me. When I try to add mp3 files from a CD, I open the Playlist/Add Files and proceed to select several files holding down the Control key and clicking on the various files I want to select as a batch (as I used to do on Winamp2.72 and later 2 versions). The first times I did, none of the files would be valid. Later on, I just got a Studio fatal error that freezes my whole PC, forcing me to restart. I read the Readme file and I found listed there under Known Issues , "- if no file is valid in a playlist, hitting play enters an endless loop", which also happens to me. Also none of my old Winamp playlists seems to be valid, nor any list I've managed to create when capturing files in a batch. The SAME files are valid if I add them one at a time instead of selecting several with the Control or Shift keys held down. Please let me know if there's a solution, because these problems forced me to go back to the old Winamp versions, since Winamp3 doesn't cooperate with me. I have a PC, Pentium III, Windows 98 second edition. Thanks! I'd appreciate it if you reply to this post. Winamp is my EVER favorite music program and I'd love to be able to keep Winamp3.
