HELP!!! Different broadcast Encoder settings
Someone help, please
I have a computer with Windows XP SP1, a Sound Blaster 5.1 sound card, and a DSL connection. I'm using a microphone in the Mic in jack and broadcasting my mp3 collection. Here is the situation. I can broadcast mp3's without any hesitations at 56kbps, 44.100kHz Mono. When I want to talk "on the air" I have to switch the Input from "Winamp (recommended)" to "Soundcard Input” I talk and then switch the input source back to Winamp. Switching to the sound card input switches the quality of the broadcast to 24kbps, 22.050kHz. And when I switch the input source back to Winamp, this quality stays. Is there any way I can keep the broadcast quality at a consistent 56kbps, 44.100kHz Mono? Is there a way to use a mic and winamp together without having to switch back and forth from winamp to soundcard input? If it helps at all, I have a VIA AC '97 onboard soundcard that is not being used. Your help is greatly appreciated and I thank you ahead of time. Mike W. |
