convert a MIDI to a WAV

Can some1 please help me to convert a MIDI to a WAV? I folowed the instructions on how to configure WinAmp to convert it, and I don't know what to do next. If I have to play the song and it will convert it to my selected output file, it doesn't work. Nothing is in the folder. Any help will be appreciated. (and yes, I know that a MIDI is not a recording, it's like sheet music that tells the computer what instraments to play) Thanx
