ESS Allegro

I'm having an issue streaming music and mic with my laptop. ESS Allegro is the make/model of my sound card and I've been told that this won't support streaming 2 inputs, any truth to this?

I'd really like to use the fade in and out as well as add background music to my monologue. If this won't work with the ESS Allegro, I have an SB Live! Value on the desktop, will that work?

Live Value should work, not sure about the Allegro, try it.
