For a balanced viewpoint on the world in general
It is always true that everything that newspapers publish contain its own biases and leaning. The best way to get an objective coverage it to read from a variety of sources instead of relying on one source. The following are online websites of some publications in South East Asia for your pursual. Please do take each and every article from these publications with a pinch of salt, not everything is the "gospel truth", and the truth is almost always twisted to the newspaper's hidden agenda. You could make a sport out of trying to spot their hidden agenda.
SINGAPORE: THE STRAITS TIMES (http://straitstimes.asia1.com.sg) Pro-US MALAYSIA: NEW STRAITS TIMES (http://www.nst.com.my) Stand Unknown THE MALAY MAIL (http://www.emedia.com.my/Current_News/MM/mmrevamp) Anti-War, Anti-US HONG KONG: THE SOUTH CHINA MORNING POST (http://www.scmp.com.hk/) Stand Unknown Of course there are more media out there with online website, you should visit it too for a balanced viewpoint on world issues. |
