winamp licensing - using winamp in the office

My network admin has gone bannanas after the software police have come crawling all over our network.

He now reckons that I can't use winamp for my personal listening pleasure on his corporate network as the current winamp license is not clear as to its use on office networks - freeware, shareware or pay.

Please can someone clarify whether or not winamp can be used for personal use in a corporate network on the current license terms?

Regards

Quote:
excerpt from license.txt
Nullsoft, Inc. ("Nullsoft") grants Licensee a non-exclusive and non-transferable license to reproduce and use for personal or internal business purposes the executable code version of the Product, provided any copy must contain all of the original proprietary notices.
this is clear imho, you can use it

Thats really stupid, IMHO if your network admin thinks like that.

From whatsnew.txt:

Winamp 2.50:
* Winamp is now freeware! Thanks to all who have previously
registered, your support is really appreciated!

That was SO many years ago. It clearly states that Winamp is FREEWARE.
