Nvidia's 43.45 drivers fix Geforce/Milkdrop problem!!!
Just wanted to give a heads up to all of you who, like me, were having problems running Milkdrop with the 4X.xx detonator drivers from Nvidia. They were causing severe frame rate problems, staggers, and system crawl.
Good news! The 43.45 drivers that were just released appear to fix the problem. I've ran Milkdrop for more than 2 hours without a problem. Even better, they appear to have improved Milkdrop's average FPS dramatically. You can get them here: http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp Hope that helps. I know this board isn't visited too much anymore, but hey, I can't be the only one who was waiting (and patiently running the 30.82s) |

now it doesn't work at all
I had the same problem as before, if you pushed F1, or even P for the playlist of L for loading visuals, it would slow down. Now when I start MilkDrop, it slows down no matter what. It really slows down now.
This is what i'm running Compaq presario 1.5GHz 256 MB RAM 64MB GeForce2 MX/MX 400 1024 x 768 Resoulution One other note, when you install the drivers, and it tells you to uninstall the old one, i didn't, becuase i don't know how, i just had it install over the old drivers. I don't know if that did anything or not. Any thoughts? |

no. that doesnt fix the problem. this is either a problem with win amp (unlikely) or milk drop. (likely) Geiss just needs to update his shit. 30.82 drivers worked fine but down grading just for this one applicatin is not an option. ive had no other problems with any other apps besides this so i think a milk drop update is necessary (not to mention long overdue).
nr33 - its a good idea to uninstall the old detonator drivers. to do this just go into add/remove programs and uninstall from there. you might also want to go to www.guru3d.com and download detonator R.I.P to make sure everything is nice and clean in case anyone cares, my system: athlon xp 2200+ soyo dragon + msi geforce 3 512 M crucial ddr |

My apologies for getting everyone's hopes up. I'm currently running the 44.03 drivers and not experiencing any of the hiccups I was with the early 40.xx releases. Go figure.
Here are my specs, in case you're interested: AMD Athlon 1.4 256MB pc2100 Geforce 4 Ti4200 (128 Meg) Turtle Beach Santa Cruz (41.61 drivers) Windows XP Pro |

well, Im not sure if this will fix your problem. But there are updated drivers that are not on the Nvidia site. Go to the same site as before ...www.Guru3d.com and get newer drivers . I have found the best ones to be the __-- 44.67 --__ drivers and as for the 45.20..i dont think they are even real.."just the 44.03 with a diff name"
