I cannot listen to my own stream, probably router problem

Hi, I have a little bit complicated problem here.
I want to broadcast, but I have ADSL and a Speectoch modem/router.
At first, the server gave an error saying that they got a timeout, because I was behind a firewall and/org router.
I disabled my firewall and that didn't work, so it had to be my router.
I openened port 8000 and 8001, the error disappeared, but I stil cannot listen. I just get a timeout
I disabled my firewall again and found out that didn't work, so my router has to be the problem.
The station does appear in the shoutcast listing, and the radiotoolbod says there is a server running on port 8000
But I cannot listen to my own stream...could someone tell me what I have to do? I searched this forum and some other forums on the internet, but I couldn't find the answer, and after hours of trying to fix it, I thought it was time to post it here.

Thanks in advance!
