Help please!

I know I should have rephrased the subject a bit better, but this is urgent.

Here is the problem: I am trying to help a friend out to get shoutcast to work on his machine. but I cannot connect. this is what winamp does:

[connecting]
[ICY 200 OK]

and it just sits there. doesnt even buffer. I already checked the logs and everything checks out. I have followed him through and even supervised via remote desktop and cannot find the problem. it has worked before. but all of a sudden it quit. any ideas?
