How do you get a url to work for your sc link?

Mine is the standard http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8001/listen.pls...how would i get it to have http://www.xxxx.com:8001/listen.pls

I have my own url and host.

The domain name of xxxx.com needs to resolve to the xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx ip address.

Normally when you register a domain you need to provide a primary and secondary domain name server (DNS). Contact these folks and see if your domain is routed to the necessary ip.
