microfone problems

wen i am using soundcard input i can talk over the air fine, however wen i release the talk button and stick on a track it isnt heard in my transmission and therefore i have to switch the input to winamp wen i want to play a song
therefore i can never talk over songs and everything is very blocky (talk, song, talk, song) and id rather no how to fix that

any ideas

This problem is usually associated to mis-configured mixers.
