I am using a router. help
i am using a router internet connection.. and i am unable to broadcast.. can anyone help??

Three (or less) easy steps.
1. If you have a firewall, open the necessary port(s)*. 2. If You have a router (and you do ), configure it to forward the necessary port(s)* to the DNAS machine. Note: Some routers call it port-forwarding, some call it virtual server.3. Enjoy. * you'll definately need to open/forward portBase (default is 8000). if you expect to let folks outside your private lan source the DNAS, then open/forward portBase+1 (default is 8001). The default DNAS portBase section of the sc_serv.ini/conf file is: code: Alternatively, check out the Sticky post titled: SHOUTcast: Important Info & Answers to FAQs. READ ME! Scroll down a bit and look for the section titled: Routers, Firewalls, and Networks. Oh My! See if any FAQs are available for your make/model. |
