Geiss 2 .93 slow
I love Geiss and Milkdrop. Milkdrop is my favorite visualization, and one of the reasons that I use Winamp.
Milkdrop is silky smooth on my PC. Geiss 2 is choppy. I have: Athlon XP 1800+ 512 MB Nvidia Ti4200 64 MB Windows XP + SP1 + all patches + DX9.0a Running it at 1280 x 1024 x 888 x 60 Hz, full size vertical. Any lower resoltion, and it won't match my native LCD resoltion. |

With your setup it is unliekly that Geiss 2 will run faster than MilkDrop.
MilkDrop is 3d gfx card based and Geiss 2 is processer driven. You should compare Geiss 2 to Geiss for speed comparisions. Although AMD chips appear to be run a little slow for it compared to equivlant Intel CPU's "Rules are for the guidance of wisemen and the obedience of fools" Visuals - MilkDrop www.milkdrop.co.uk New Visuals - Morphyre www.Morphyre.com |

Geiss 2 working ok now
I started to say that Geiss 2 is much slower than Geiss, but I took a look at my Geiss settings, and I remember now that it is limited to 800 x 600 resolution. I dropped the resolution of Geiss 2 down to 800 x 600, and now it is perfectly smooth -- just like the original. Guess it is time to upgrade my processor.
