Router and port problem

Im having a problem with port conn i think its the router my roomate lost the password to our net gear router and i think all i need is to find a way in to forward the port 8000 to the router and ill be cool. So i guess if anyone can help me out some links or info as to how can i run the server and how to forward the port info to the router, and if anyone knows how to reset the router so i can get a new password p[ls mail me or post .

tried that still get the same does anybody know how to reset a netgear router to reattain the password?

Have you tried NetGear support yet?

FYI, port forwarding doesn't have anything to do with the FATAL ERROR your DNAS is experiencing.

Did you change SrcIP (if so set it back to ANY), otherwise there is already something else using port 8001 on your machine.
