Another firewall question
I know the answers to this question is all over the forum, but when it comes to computer problems I suck. So anyway, I'd like to set up my own shoutcast server but it seems my firewall is blocking whatever it is that it needs to let others listen. So I want to know how I "open the ports" that i need so I can cast. Step by step help would be great ^_^ thanks and sorry for reposting a massivly flooded question. But im really not totally sure what the problem is. if this isnt about a firewall, could someone possibly tell me what it is?
<05/18/03@21:34:18> [yp_add] yp.shoutcast.com gave error (HTTP/1.1 400 Bad Request) i keep getting that on my server |

Next time search, it saves us all time.
Remove spaces from your IRC, AIM or ICQ entries. Tom |

yep tom is perfectly right, well, he is a mod, they are always right
![]() anyway, that means that the data in the yellow pages tab on your dsp is invalid, probably have spaces in ur aim icq or irc details, if so remove them that error has nothing to do with your firewall, infactr, if u get that error then the relivant ports are open, because you only get that error if the server has successfully connected to shoutcast.com easy error to fix, after that you should be on your way into the world of shoutcast. Say good bye to your social life only joking, im just playing with ya ![]() shoutcast rules
