Info on shoutcast protocol and bandwidth

Hi people!

I am working on a network porject in school and we are supposed to do something network based. I chose streaming audio and chose shoutcast to do it with.
My teacher wants me to add information on how much bandwidth is used. I guess this varies with the quality of the stream and such but any info on it is greatly appreciated.
I also need some information on the protocol that shoutcast uses. The source and the servers. If there is any public info on it I would be very happy if you could tell me where or explain it to me.

Thanks

Bandwidth is simple to work out

if you stream @ 128k then it will use 128k per user listening

10 x 128k users = 1280k bandwidth per sec used

protocols used are tcp, not udp

default port the server runs on is 8000, and it default listens on port 8001 (the source port, where the stream source connects to)

hope this helps
